Job summary

Dunbia Group is hiring for a Despatch Team role at Sawley, near Gisburn. Work involves picking, packing, despatching orders and stock control in a regulated food production environment.

The role operates 3.15pm–11.45pm, Monday to Friday, with full training provided. This is a permanent, full-time position offering progression and staff benefits within a growing food company.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated food production environment is beneficial but not required.
• Willing to undergo full training for the role.
• FLT licence is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Picking, scanning, loading and despatching customer orders in line with daily targets.
• Loading and unloading inbound and outbound trailers safely and efficiently.
• Moving pallets and products to correct locations using the stock system.
• Wrapping, labeling and securing pallets for safe transport.
• Using the internal stock system to process stock and allocate products to orders.
• Processing customer paperwork in line with company procedures.
• Handling returned stock per site procedures.
• Liaising with Logistics, Commercial, Transport and Coldstore to support timely despatch.
• Undertaking any reasonable additional duties to support operational standards.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong commitment to providing exceptional quality for our customers. Working within the Despatch Team, this role reports to the Boning Hall Manager. Working hours are afternoon into evening from 3.15pm to 11.45pm, Monday to Friday.

• Previous food manufacturing experience is beneficial, not essential, and full training will be given to the successful candidate

• Holding a FLT Licence would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
• Picking, scanning, lifting, loading and despatching customer orders accurately and in line with daily despatch requirements.
• Loading and unloading inbound and outbound trailers safely and efficiently.
• Moving pallets and products to the correct locations, ensuring all movements are scanned and recorded accurately.
• Wrapping, labelling and securing pallets to ensure product stability and safe transport.
• Using the internal stock system to process stock, monitor stock levels and allocate products to customer orders.
• Processing customer paperwork accurately and in line with company procedures.
• Processing returned stock from customers in accordance with site procedures.
• Liaising with relevant departments, including Logistics, Commercial, Transport and the Coldstore, to support the timely despatch of customer orders.
• Carrying out all tasks in a helpful and professional manner.
• Undertaking any reasonable additional duties requested by Supervisors or Managers to support operational standards.
