A leading company in Worthing is seeking a Warehouse Technician to manage materials across sites. This full-time role requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a valid UK driving licence. The technician will ensure accurate stock control and compliance with safety standards while transporting products between locations. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Technician. The post-holder will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, movement, and issuing of materials across sites, ensuring accurate stock control and compliance with quality and safety standards.
This is a full-time permanent role, to be worked Monday to Friday between 8am – 5pm.
The role is based at Worthing HQ; however you will be required to drive a van regularly to our Crawley site to transport products and materials.
What You’ll be Doing:
* Maintain and follow all systems for the processing, ordering, receipt, storage and issue of all materials required by the Company.
* Transport products and materials, driving a van between our sites in Worthing and Crawley.
* Safely unload and control incoming materials and deliveries.
* Ensure that correct incoming documentation with deliveries is received.
* Locate deliveries in correct zones and with correct status and carry out physical stock counts, ensuring accurate counting and control of materials.
* Responsible for safe use of warehouse equipment to move and locate components (VNA, forklift, stackers, pallet trucks, manual handling, etc).
* Liaise with QA for goods in sampling / testing and issuing materials to production.
* Maintain the computer system used for issuing of supplier orders and invoice receipting.
* Responsible for following up overdue deliveries or escalating to purchasing team.
* Liaise with Purchasing Officer regarding maintaining reasonable and adequate stocks of all materials required for the continuing production of products.
* Work to the requirements of Health & Safety law & company policies and maintain a controlled and safe working environment.
* Correct status control of all materials, lot rotation and issue to production.
What Experience Do You Need:
* Previous experience working in a warehouse
* Strong attention to detail and good level of accuracy
* Organised and reliable
* Team player, with ability to use initiative and work independently
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Forklift Licence
* VNA Licence
* Manual Handling training (desirable)
