Job summary

Galaxy Personnel is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader near Thetford, Norfolk to oversee a busy warehouse operation on a Monday-to-Friday schedule. The role demands hands-on leadership, accuracy in stock control, and adherence to health and safety standards.

A current forklift licence is essential to perform day-to-day duties. You'll manage staff, drive improvements, and ensure production schedules have the parts required.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse team leadership or supervisory experience.
• In-date forklift licence held.
• Experience with inbound and outbound operations.
• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• Driving licence required due to location.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, motivate and ensure staffing adhere to schedules.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are upheld on shift.
• Take responsibility for stock levels and ensure parts are available for production schedules.
• Supervise and monitor performance of staffing levels and productivity.
• Document and report problems to management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives on shift.

Role - Warehouse Team Leader

Location - Close to Thetford, Norfolk

Working hours - Monday to Friday - Full time

Salary - Up to £34,000 per annum

Capacity of role - Permanent position

Our client is currently seeking a warehouse team leader to support their busy operation. Applicants will have worked in a similar position previously and will hold an in date forklift licence

Main duties will include

• To lead, train, motivate and ensure all staffing adhere and follow agreed schedules.
• Ensuring all health and safety regulations are upheld and met whilst on shift
• Taking responsibility for all stock levels and ensuring adequate parts are available for production schedules
• Supervising and monitoring performance of staffing levels and productivity
• Documenting and reporting and problematic areas to management,
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives whilst on shift.

Candidate Attributes

• Solid warehouse experience ideally at a team leader or supervisory levels
• Familiar with inbound and outbound experience to efficiently leading a team
• 2 - 3 years forklift experience - ideally counterbalance and reach
• Excellent communication and IT skills
• Driving licence is required due to the location of the premises
