Job summary

DSV is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader in Thrapston to manage a section of the warehouse, drive daily operations, and support the management team in achieving business targets. You will lead operatives, coordinate workloads and monitor performance to maintain high standards of quality and productivity.

Ideal candidates will have proven warehouse leadership experience, strong people management, and good IT and health & safety acumen.

Role: Warehouse Team Leader

Shifts: Monday-Friday 2pm -10pm

Location: Thrapston

What will you be doing?

As Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll oversee a section of our warehouse, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and supporting the management team in achieving business targets. You’ll lead a team of operatives, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

• Managing and motivating your team to meet KPIs and deadlines.
• Training new operatives and supporting ongoing development.
• Maintaining accurate inventory and stock movement records.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and fostering a culture of safe working
• Producing reports, assisting with stock takes, and planning future capacity needs.
• Acting as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers, and transport partners, ensuring excellent communication and service delivery.

About You

• Proven experience in a warehouse leadership role.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop others.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
• Possess a proactive approach, confident in decision making
• Good IT knowledge, including spreadsheets and warehouse systems.
• A solid understanding of health and safety requirements.
• A forklift licence and knowledge of lean techniques would be an advantage.
