Job summary

Stonegate Farmers in Lacock, Wiltshire is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader for our Packing Centre. This hands-on role supports the Warehouse Shift Managers, keeps the team motivated and ensures customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, safely and on time.

You will lead from the front in a fast-paced FMCG environment, solve problems, manage daily tasks, and help maintain quality, safety standards and a proactive health & safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and supervising a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in FMCG or food operation preferred.
• Experience using pallet trucks or related lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the accurate picking, loading and unloading of orders

Role: Warehouse Team Leader (Packing Centre)

Salary: £13.78 p/h

Location: Lacock, Wiltshire

Working Hours: 06.00am – 18.00pm, 4on4off

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Warehouse Team Leader to join our busy Packing Centre. This is a hands-on leadership role, supporting our Warehouse Shift Managers while helping to keep the team organised, motivated and focused on getting customer orders out accurately, safely and on time.

You’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, leading from the front and stepping in to solve problems when they arise.

What you’ll be doing

As Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the accurate and timely picking, loading and unloading of customer orders
• Helping ensure the correct warehouse processes are followed to maintain quality and safety standards
• Accurately counting goods and finished stock at the beginning or end of shifts
• Ensuring finished goods are stacked and stored correctly to prevent damage and quality issues
• Supporting the Warehouse Shift Managers with the effective running of the team
• Helping motivate and coordinate colleagues to deliver against operational deadlines
• Ensuring dispatched goods are safe, legal and meet the required quality standards, including requirements under the BRC Global Standard
• Promoting a strong Health & Safety culture across the warehouse
• Ensuring the correct PPE is worn and appropriate manual handling techniques are followed
• Taking a proactive approach to resolving issues and keeping the operation running smoothly

We’re looking for someone who is confident leading people and enjoys being part of a fast-moving operation.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience working within a warehouse environment
• Experience supervising or managing a team
• Experience working to strict deadlines
• Experience within a fast-paced FMCG or food operation
• Previous experience using an Electric Pump/Pallet Truck
• Good computer skills and confidence using basic IT systems
• Strong communication and people skills
• The ability to motivate others and drive team performance
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• A proactive approach with the confidence to use your own initiative
