Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Peterborough is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to supervise our temperature-controlled operations. You will report to the nights shift manager and help drive safety, performance and productivity in a fast-paced, automated depot.

The role covers shift 18:00–02:30, Monday to Friday, with pay £15.58 per hour plus a weekly night allowance of £43. Overtime after 39 hours, extra annual leave, on-site parking, and wellbeing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in warehouse or logistics environments.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Clear English communication with all team members and stakeholders.
• Flexibility to cover shift changes when required.

Responsibilities

• Team Supervision & Development - Lead, train, and coach your team while providing regular performance feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Operational Oversight - Organise workloads and assign duties to ensure the efficient flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.
• Stock & Inventory Control - Manage the organisation of stock and maintain accurate warehouse inventory using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Planning & Reporting - Plan resource requirements for daily job assignments and keep accurate records of KPIs. Send regular reports to operations leadership.
• Health & Safety Focus - Ensure all safety standards are met when working with machinery and material handling equipment.
• Effective Communication - Act as a point of contact for your team, resolving issues and ensuring open, clear communication across all levels of the business.

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader reporting directly to the nights shift manager at our fully automated Peterborough depot.

Shift Pattern Available: working Monday - Friday 18:00-02:30

You will be working in temperatures of around -20 degrees, but we'll provide you with the personal protective equipment to keep you warm.

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse or logistics leadership experience. Coldstore experience is a plus, but not essential.
• Comfortable using WMS to track stock and support operations.
• Strong conflict management skills - calm under pressure and focused on fair outcomes.
• Clear and confident communication in English with all team members.
• Flexibility to support shift changes when needed.
