Job summary

N Brown is seeking a Team Leader for our Shaw logistics hub to lead and develop the operational colleagues, ensuring delivery against objectives and SLA targets. You will focus on safety, efficiency and cost management while maintaining a high standard of service for internal and external customers.

As a multi-skilled leader, you will drive continuous improvement using lean six sigma methodologies and collaborate across departments to meet changing business needs.

  • Maintain Health & Safety measures and housekeeping to ensure a safe environment.
  • Meet production and SLA targets while optimizing resource use and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Deliver departmental budgets via manpower planning and performance management.
  • Review performance and provide weekly cost analysis for your area.
  • Investigate trends in MI and respond to direction.
  • Be flexible with shift times and support overtime when required.
  • Be multiskilled to manage several departments outside your main department.

Job description

We're looking for a Team Leader to join our Logistics team!

As a Team Leader for N Brown you'll work to effectively manage operational processes, resource and colleagues within our Logistics operation. You'll provide an excellent customer experience for all of our internal and external customers within agreed objectives and SLA's and you'll drive change through a continuous improvement culture. We're looking for people that are passionate about leading people and you'll be a role model for our core behaviours and be a true advocate for our culture! Shift pattern: 4 days on 4 days off. Your working hours will be 1:30pm to 1am. Location: Our Logistics hub is located in Shaw, Oldham. It can be easily accessed via Tram which is a just few minutes walk away and we also offer free car parking for anyone who wishes to drive to the site

What will you do as a Team Leader at N Brown?
  • You'll lead ,support, motivate, train and develop the Logistics Operational colleagues in your team to ensure our Logistics Operational objectives are met.
  • You'll accurately log colleague time and attendance and you'll ensure all colleagues absence is managed in line with N Brown policy.
  • You'll make sure that delivery of all Health & Safety measures and housekeeping requirements are maintained and you'll ensure there is a safe and clean environment for all colleagues and visitors on the Logistics sites.
  • You'll work to achieve production and compliance targets and SLA's whilst making sure that we are using the most cost effective use of resource and services. You'll also respond to adjustments in production plans and assign resource where needed.
  • You'll deliver the departmental budgets through effective manpower, planning and performance management.
  • You'll review performance and quality for your area of responsibility and provide weekly cost analysis.
  • You'll also review and respond to direction to investigate trends in MI.
  • You'll be flexible with start/finish times of shift in order to plan the day and provide accurate details for handovers for colleagues and be open to support business needs with flexibility of overtime when required.
  • You'll be multiskilled to manage several departments outside of your main department.
  • You'll identify process improvements and support implementation through the use of lean six sigma methodology to ensure the logistics operation is efficient and flexible to meet our customer demands.
