Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations within our clients warehouse. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes, managing the processes and leading a team to maintain high standards of safety and productivity. This position requires strong communication skills, a can do attitude as well as familiarity with warehouse management systems.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in materials handling.
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks as required for loading and unloading goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels using the warehouse management system.
  • Train new staff on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure cleanliness and organisation.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new hires and ongoing training to current employees to ensure high performance and compliance.
  • Support the continuous improvement of team skills and knowledge through workshops or other development programs.
  • Address and resolve any operational challenges or conflicts within the team.
  • Manage issue escalation and coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient problem resolution.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and liaise with other departments.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
  • Ensure that all orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and accuracy of product locations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other related software. Mainly Mintsoft Preferred not essential )
  • Knowledge of inventory management and order fulfillment processes. (Preferred not essential )
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Monday till friday shifts are 8am-5pm, 11am-8pm

Weekends - 8am-5pm - weekend rota to cover both days
