Allied Mills Ltd. invites applications for a Warehouse Team Leader to coordinate a skilled team at our flour mill. You will lead warehouse operatives to manufacture, store, and despatch bagged products safely and efficiently, ensuring customer demand is met and daily targets are achieved.

The role requires strong Maths/English, computer literacy, and a proactive approach. Fork Lift qualification is desirable and safety certifications are expected to be completed within the role.

Qualifikationen

• Good level of Math's and English.
• Computer literate and able to use standard packing/warehouse software.
• Fork Lift Truck qualification desirable (within first 6 months).
• Food Safety Level 2, IOSH Managing Safely (to be completed in role).

Aufgaben

• Maintain a safe working environment; promote Safety First and Clean as You Go.
• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse and production operatives; plan workloads.
• Drive daily production, storage and despatch targets.
• Coordinate flow of materials, finished goods and outbound loads to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure accurate stock handling: booking in, stock rotation, pallet integrity, inventory control.
• Complete weekly stock counts and report by Monday 06:00.
• Act as primary on-shift contact for operational decisions when SCC unavailable.
• Cover SCC duties when required.
• Complete warehouse and production duties per procedures and safety standards.
• Carry out first-fix diagnostics and basic mechanical interventions to minimise downtime.
• Escalate issues to Engineering for second-level support.
• Monitor equipment performance and report recurring faults to SCC.
• Adhere to site QFFS standards; promote Safety First in all activities.
• Engage with warehouse team via toolbox talks and safety briefs.
• Complete routine inspections and audits for safety and QFFS compliance.
• Report incidents, near misses and non-conformances using correct systems.
• Promote housekeeping per QFFS standards.
• Support SCC with Return-to-Work interviews and absence queries.
• Assist training, onboarding, and competency upkeep for operatives.
• Provide feedback and participate in appraisals and performance discussions.
• Support resource planning, overtime management, and holiday coordination.

We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Team Leader to join an experienced team, providing a first-class service at our flour mill. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate a team of skilled warehouse operatives to manufacture, store, and despatch bagged products safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. They will ensure customer demand is met, daily production and volume targets are achieved, and downtime is minimised through effective first-fix intervention. You will alsoact as the first point of contact on shift for all operational and HR issues escalating when necessary to the SCC.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain a safe working environment in area of operation by actively promoting "Safety First" and "Clean as You Go" cultures.
• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse and production operatives, ensuring workloads are planned and allocated effectively.
• Drive performance to meet daily production, storage, and despatch targets.
• Coordinate the flow of materials, finished goods, and outbound loads to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure accurate stock handling, including booking in, stock rotation, pallet integrity checks, and inventory control.
• Complete weekly stock counts, ensuring they are accurate, recorded in line with company procedures and submitted to the Supply Chain Controller before Monday 06:00 weekly.
• Act as the primary on-shift contact for operational decision-making when the SCC is unavailable.
• Cover Supply Chain Controller duties when required.
• To complete all warehouse and production duties in accordance with operational & safety procedures.
• Carry out first-fix diagnostics and basic mechanical interventions to minimise downtime.
• Escalate issues promptly to Engineering for second-level support when required.
• Monitor equipment performance and report recurring faults or risks to the SCC.
• To operate to procedures as defined within site quality, environmental and health and safety systems and standards. Always Demonstrating the 'Safety First' approach.
• Actively engage with the warehouse team through toolbox talks and safety briefs to encourage safe working practices.
• Complete routine inspections and audits ensuring compliance with our safety and QFFS standards.
• Report and investigate any incidents, near misses and non conformances using the correct systems.
• Promote high levels of housekeeping in line with our QFFS standards.
• Support the SCC by acting as the initial point of contact for Return-to-Work (RTW) interviews and absence queries.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and competency upkeep for all operatives.
• Provide regular feedback to team members and contribute to appraisals and performance discussions.
• Support resource planning, overtime management, and holiday coordination.

The Right Person
