Job summary

STEF Langdons is recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a designated warehouse team and ensure safe, efficient operations across the site in Bridgwater. You will manage receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, with attention to temperatures, packaging and labelling, while upholding food safety standards.

You will be responsible for coaching staff, maintaining quality and safety, solving problems, and supporting management with cover and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a warehouse team or working towards a Level 3 Management or equivalent qualification.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
• Up-to-date licence for designated mechanical handling equipment.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate and coach others and manage changing priorities.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the warehouse team to deliver safe, efficient and consistent performance.
• Oversee receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, with correct temperatures, packaging and labelling.
• Ensure quality, hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards are maintained and escalate issues when needed.
• Promote a safe working environment by addressing hazards and ensuring equipment is used safely.
• Resolve operational issues, including damaged goods and incomplete consignments, and communicate with colleagues and customers as required.
• Support management with team cover and deputise when required.
