Warehouse Supervisor

Imperial Recruitment is recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to support day‑to‑day warehouse operations for our client in Newton Aycliffe. This role is ideal for a hands‑on supervisor with strong organisational and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations at all times.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager with team coordination and workload planning.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site.
  • Operate forklifts where required while ensuring safe manual handling practices are followed.
  • Monitor stock levels, accuracy, and order fulfilment.
  • Train, mentor, and support warehouse operatives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and warehouse optimisation to enhance efficiency and performance.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
  • Valid forklift licence with practical operating experience.
  • Strong health & safety awareness and background.
  • Good leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with warehouse optimisation or continuous improvement is desirable.
Warehouse Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall management of warehouse operations, including goods inwards, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Drive warehouse optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Manage stock accuracy, inventory control, and space utilisation.
  • Coordinate with production, transport, and senior management to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor KPIs, productivity, and performance standards.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a warehouse management role, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Forklift licence and hands‑on forklift experience.
  • Solid health & safety background with demonstrable compliance knowledge.
  • Experience in warehouse optimisation and process improvement (desirable).
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • IT literate with experience using warehouse or stock management systems.
