GES is currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team based at the Excel in London.

Role Purpose:

You will help manage all logistical requirements, provide warehouse assistance to the production team, and ensure Covid-safe processes are followed in the warehouse.

What you will do
  • Use Clarity to plan jobs and control costs.
  • Provide clear and accurate work updates on Clarity to ensure tasks are completed as per business requirements and timelines.
  • Train and develop new team members to ensure they understand their roles and use of Clarity.
  • Ensure all departments have necessary materials to perform their duties.
  • Work closely with production to meet loading deadlines.
  • Unload and load shows from the warehouse to venues.
  • Prepare and pack all show requirements, ensuring proper labelling.
  • Use Clarity to check that all items are loaded on time for each event.
  • Work with WM on health and safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks on all vehicle loads, ensuring compliance with VOSA regulations.
  • Assist WM in ensuring all processes are followed.
  • Engage in continuous improvement by suggesting opportunities to your line manager.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the company's core values.
  • Participate in the company’s sustainability initiatives, supporting reuse, recycling, and replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, corporate, client, and legislative standards.
  • Be flexible and willing to undertake various skills or tasks at different times and locations.
  • Represent the company professionally, staying informed about industry trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Relationships

You will develop and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally to facilitate growth and integration. You will collaborate with GES employees, departments, and external partners such as suppliers, exhibitors, and organizers.
