Job summary

Greencore Leeds is recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a shift of 4 on/4 off days and nights. You will manage a team, ensure inbound, picking and despatch schedules are followed safely, cost-efficiently and in line with KPIs.

The role requires experience supervising warehouse teams, strong numeracy and literacy, and safety certifications. In return you will receive a competitive salary, holidays, pension, life cover and access to Greencore’s wellbeing and training programmes.

Qualifications

• Food safety Level 1 certification desirable; Health & Safety Level 2 beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of a warehouse team ensuring adherence to SOPs, processes and KPIs.
• Allocate trained resources to activities and ensure safe equipment usage.
• Investigate issues impacting the operational plan and communicate them.
• Maintain accurate administrative records for audits and investigations.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working 4 on / 4 off days and nights you will provide supervision of a warehouse team ensuring consistent application of the department standards and processes that deliver the inbound, picking and despatch schedule safely, legally and meeting the operational key performance indicators and costs

• Ensure competently trained resource is allocated to work activities with safe equipment to execute the operational plan
• Investigate and communicate issues affecting the operational plan
• Actively participate in the risk assessment, accident investigation operational inspection and behavioural monitoring processes that ensures a safe workplace and operation and appropriate corrective actions
• Ensure the administrative procedures and operational information is accurate to demonstrate control in the event of an audit or investigation

• Experience operating in a similar warehouse supervisory role (people management experience)
• Experience leading diverse teams
• Effective numeracy and literacy skills
• Holds a food safety level 1 certification
• Holds a health and safety level 2 certification
