Job summary

Greencore Heathrow is seeking a Warehouse Operator to support our fast-moving operations. The role involves updating systems, processing orders, coordinating with suppliers, and preparing schedules to ensure on-time deliveries across multiple depots and customers.

Successful candidates will have literacy and numeracy skills, be able to work in a chilled environment, and demonstrate problem solving, attention to detail, and a right first-time approach while following procedures and contributing

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain technical administration systems to improve planning and reporting accuracy.
• 2) Process customer orders and contact customers/suppliers to clarify requirements for accurate data.
• 3) Liaise with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on track for scheduled dates and quantities.
• 4) Prepare, maintain and publish up-to-date logistics schedules for all relevant parties.
• 5) Validate and sign off received invoices to aid budget management.
• 6) Collect and format data to present clearly to customers and suppliers.
• 7) Collate, complete and file delivery paperwork and invoices to create an audit trail.

Here atHeathrow, we have a team of around 400 colleagues. We produce gluten free sandwiches and ready to eat or reheat sandwiches, wraps and other bread-based products, salads and ready meals for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Asda, Aldi, Co-op, Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

What you'll be doing

As a Warehouse Operator:

• Update and maintain technical administration systems that improve accuracy of planning and reporting
• Process customer orders, contacting customers/suppliers where necessary to clarify requirements, to ensure that accurate data has been included for planning and forecasting
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on track for scheduled delivery dates and quantities
• Prepare, maintain and publish up-to-date logistics schedules to inform all relevant parties
• Validate and ‘sign off’ received invoices to aid budget management
• Collect and collate relevant data and format concisely and appropriately to make it presentable to the customer and suppliers
• Collate, complete and file delivery paperwork and invoices to create an accurate audit trail

What we’re looking for

Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience:

• Ideally experience within a food manufacturing environment or similar environment
• Good Literacy and Numeracy skills
• Ability to work in a fast past, chilled environment
• Problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Right first-time approach
• Able to manage the team and follow management instructions and procedures
• Good communicator and ability to work in a team
• Basic Awareness of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene
