Job summary

SWJ Search is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a small on-site warehouse team in a busy distribution environment. The role focuses on supervising picking, packing and despatch to ensure orders leave accurately and on time, with stock control and daily performance reporting.

The position is permanent, 32,000 per annum, Monday–Friday daytime hours, and on-site with potential for progression within the business.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or team leader experience in a busy pick, pack and despatch environment.
• Solid stock control, stocktakes and order management experience.
• Confident using inventory and computer‑based warehouse systems.
• High accuracy, strong organisation and a reliable approach.
• Able to work Monday to Friday daytime hours, fully on site.
• Forklift licence desirable

Responsibilities

• Managing goods in, deliveries, put away and warehouse organisation.
• Keeping stock records accurate, carrying out stocktakes and cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies.
• Handling stock movements, returns and damaged goods correctly.
• Using ecommerce, stock management and courier booking systems to process orders.
• Maintaining health and safety standards, reporting daily performance and stock issues to management, and helping to improve warehouse efficiency.

Warehouse Supervisor

£32,000 per annum

Hours & Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday, daytime hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm, fully on site. Some flexibility is needed during busy periods.

The Company

We are recruiting for a growing distribution business with a busy ecommerce and wholesale despatch operation. It is a fast moving environment where good people are given room to progress. They are looking for a hands on supervisor who wants to take ownership of the warehouse and keep every order moving accurately and on time.

The Role

You will join a small warehouse team, reporting to the Operations Manager and running the floor day to day.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising daily picking, packing and despatch so customer orders leave accurately and on time.
• Allocating work across the team and keeping productivity high.
• Managing goods in, deliveries, put away and warehouse organisation.
• Keeping stock records accurate, carrying out stocktakes and cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies.
• Handling stock movements, returns and damaged goods correctly.
• Using ecommerce, stock management and courier booking systems to process orders.
• Maintaining health and safety standards, reporting daily performance and stock issues to management, and helping to improve warehouse efficiency.

This is a hands on supervisory role for someone who leads by example and takes pride in getting every order right.

What We Are Looking For

Desirable

Forklift licence, experience of ecommerce platforms or courier booking systems, and a background in ecommerce, wholesale or distribution.
