Job summary

Taylor Wimpey Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a field team across multiple sites, driving KPI targets and delivering high-quality customer service in a busy supply chain environment.

You will manage performance, coach staff, and ensure data accuracy and process integrity while collaborating with other functions to optimise operations. This role is based in the UK and offers a clear career path within a values-driven organisation.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience managing a team in an operational environment.
  • End-to-end understanding of ERP/WM processes and systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety within an operational environment (IOSH training preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership by setting clear expectations and high standards of work practices.
  • Lead daily team briefings and monthly one-on-one performance reviews with constructive feedback.
  • Foster coaching and development across the team.
  • Oversee attendance, performance, and safe working conditions per company policies.
  • Monitor KPI performance and drive continuous improvement across operations.

Job Summary

Taylor Wimpey Logistics is our supply chain logistics business and is a vital component of our supply chain. We have a range of sites in various stages of development around the country.
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for leading their team to achieve company goals, KPIs and quality standards to maximise customer satisfaction while managing projects and regular reporting of team performance.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and high standards of work practices
  • Motivate employees through daily team briefs and monthly 'one on one’ performance reviews, providing timely feedback on priorities, targets and operational requirements
  • Provide a coaching environment, which encourages training and development of all employees
  • Manage and report on attendance, performance and work environment through effective use of company policies, procedures and team leadership
  • Continuously monitor the performance and progress to ensure KPI targets are met
  • Develop and improve current practices, engaging team, communicating and implementing change as required
  • Responsible for the integrity and timely input of data to continually improve stock accuracy
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
  • Previous industry experience
  • Experience managing a successful team
  • End to end understanding of ERP and WM systems and processes (ideally Sage X3)
  • Knowledge of health and safety within an operational environment preferably IOSH trained
