Michael Page is recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor in Dunstable to lead a high-volume pick and pack operation of around 50 operatives. You will oversee daily performance, ensure accuracy and service levels, and report to the Warehouse Manager. This hands-on leadership role requires proactive problem-solving and strong people management.

Overtime is paid at 1.5x. Monday–Friday pattern within a growing business.

• Experience leading large warehouse teams in distribution, fulfilment, logistics or FMCG.

Description

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a high-volume pick and pack operation, leading a team of approximately 50 warehouse operatives to ensure productivity, accuracy, and service standards are consistently achieved. Working alongside another Warehouse Supervisor and reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse operatives across picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
• Monitor daily operational performance to ensure orders are processed accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Drive productivity, quality, and service levels across the warehouse operation.
• Effectively allocate labour and resources to meet fluctuating workload demands.
• Deliver team briefings, coaching, and performance management activities.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the operation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and workflow.
• Work collaboratively with management and colleagues to ensure smooth operational handovers.
• Investigate operational issues, stock discrepancies, and process challenges where required.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and operational standards.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor position within a distribution, fulfilment, logistics, or FMCG environment.
• Experience managing large operational teams within a pick and pack setting.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
• Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• The ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• A good understanding of warehouse health and safety requirements.
• Flexibility to support operational needs and business demands.
