The individual will be responsible for supervising a team of operatives and supporting client projects.
The role includes improving operational efficiency, maintaining health and safety standards, and driving sustainable practices across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the operations team to meet productivity and quality targets.
Client Project Support
- Oversee the preparation and assembly of kits.
- Carry out accurate stock takes and maintain inventory control systems.
- Reporting any faulty/damaged equipment.
- Ensure all client requirements are met with precision and consistency.
Sustainability & Efficiency
- Identify and implement lean working methods to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and support the company's environmental goals.
Health & Safety Supervision
- Health & Safety Supervision: Enforce company health and safety policies, conducting regular checks to ensure compliance across the recycling area.
- Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organised, and hazard-free workspace.
- Report and investigate incidents or near misses and take corrective actions.
Project Management Support
- Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate workflows, communicate updates, and contribute to planning discussions.
- Assist with analysing assets submitted for recycling - breaking down into elements, recording weights, photographing and documenting (Experience not essential).
- Liaise with Logistics Manager.
Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers and logistics to ensure materials and stock flow smoothly in line with operational needs.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a small team.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with stock control and inventory accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse/goods-in and goods-out processes.
- Ability to work safely and promote good health & safety practices.
- Practical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Basic IT skills.
- Experience using a specific stock management/ERP system.
- Experience with continuous improvement or improving warehouse processes.
- Forklift/warehouse equipment certification, if relevant to the role.
- Experience with performance management and conducting team reviews.
- Experience coordinating with Production, Procurement, Logistics or Site Teams.
