Job Description

Our Spalding site has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Shift Supervisor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Salary: £30,807 - £34,000 per annum.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6pm-6am.

The purpose of a Warehouse Shift Supervisor is to lead a team, ensuring good productivity, picking accuracy, and the overall performance of the warehouse is achieved to meet customer and company service levels.

Key Duties of a Warehouse Shift Supervisor:

• Supervise warehouse staff to ensure that warehouse disciplines are maintained.
• Be responsible for achieving daily KPI's to meet targets and dispatch requirements.
• Ensure all operatives are trained in warehouse disciplines of picking and arrange retraining where necessary.
• Ensure company standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained, taking appropriate action when not.
• Enforce the Company Health & Safety Rules and report issues in line with procedures.
• Identify procedures or systems that could be improved to minimize errors and maximize productivity.
• Manage day-to-day team issues, including holiday authorization, cover arrangements, timekeeping, and absence monitoring.
• Handle performance issues in liaison with Warehouse Managers and HR.

Qualifications

• Operational experience within a FMCG warehouse environment.
• FLT Licence.
• A good standard of education, including Maths at GCSE level or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of MS Office – Word and Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure, both as part of a team and independently.
• Effective communicator with excellent customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness.
