Culina is recruiting a Warehouse Shift Manager for the Chilled & Fresh division in the UK. The role is a full-time, permanent night shift (4 on 4 off, 18:00-06:00) supporting the Operations Manager and ensuring safe, accurate picking and dispatch to meet KPIs.

You will lead a large shift team, enforce health and safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across warehousing processes, with development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• Operational management experience in FMCG warehouse environments
• Experience leading and mentoring large teams
• Knowledge of warehouse health & safety legislation and incident investigation
• Experience with WMS systems and data interrogation
• Knowledge of consolidation and loading operations in FMCG
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel)

Responsabilidades

• Lead and motivate the shift team to hit KPI targets.
• Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards and ensure compliance.
• Ensure quality and audit standards across the site.
• Deliver briefings to communicate issues and gather input from shifts.
• Manage Goods Inwards to ensure quick, safe receipts.
• Develop team members and implement succession planning.
• Conduct disciplinary and grievance interviews per policy.
• Monitor sickness absence and conduct return-to-work interviews.
• Oversee time and attendance processes.
• Provide regular performance feedback to the team.
• Plan manpower and overtime efficiently with agency staff.
• Enforce company policies and health & safety training on shift.
• Support management with ad-hoc duties in the warehouse.

As part of our Chilled & Freshdivision, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Warehouse Shift Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.

Shift:4 on 4 off nights,18.00-06.00

Asa Warehouse ShiftManageryou will contribute to the success of the site by supporting theOperationsManagerin the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuringall aspects of Health & Safety within the Warehouse are maintained and product is picked and dispatched to the highest standard in order to meet contractual KPI’s.

Key Duties of a Warehouse Shift Manager:

• Manage and motivate the shift teamin order toensure that productivity and service KPI’sare achievedor exceeded.
• Ensure the highest possible levels of health, safety and hygieneare upheldso that legislative and quality requirements can be complied with, ensuring relevant paperworkis completedand retained.
• Ensuring the highest levels of Quality and complianceare maintainedand that the site operates to the Audit standard required.
• Deliver communication briefings so that allshiftsare aware of all Company and local issues and employeesare able tooffer input / improvements and feel involved.
• Manage Goods Inwards area to ensure that receiptsare madequickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy orders.
• Develop all team members so that their contributions to the Warehouse can be maximised and succession plan.
• Carry outdisciplinary / grievance interviews and investigations in line with Company procedure.
• Monitor and control sickness absence levels in line with Company policy andcarry outreturn to work interviews effectively and efficiently.
• Monitor and control time and attendance system.
• To offer regular feedback, formal and informal, on team and individual performance, including behavioural issues and highlightinggood performanceand areas for further development.
• Man powerplanning, by ensuring the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers to efficiently and cost effectively run the shift.
• Enforce and adhere all Company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and control training for teams, ensuring the correct amount of health & safety representation on shift, i.e. First Aiders, Fire Marshallsetc.
• SupportManagementin any ad-hoc duties within the Warehouse function.

Qualifications

What you’ll need ...

• Operational management experience within a FMCG warehouse environment
• Have a good working knowledge within a Warehouse and Logistics operation.
• Experience of Leading and Mentoring a large team
• Knowledge of warehouse health & safety legislation, including accident and incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Knowledge of consolidation and loading operations in FMCG Industry
• Previous experience of WMS systems with the ability to interrogate the information
• The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office – Word and Excel
