£41,320.73

Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns:

4 on, 4 off - 6am-6pm

Manchester - M26 2XH

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to play a vital role in coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including the storage and dispatch of volume orders and goods.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Assist operational management by initiating, monitoring, and reporting on the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and staff performance during your designated shift.
• Manage and implement productivity by communicating job expectations to direct reports, monitoring stock movement and control, and ensuring all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames while maintaining standards of excellence.
• Track and trace orders using digital in-house tracking software, maintaining accurate records at an optimal level.
• Monitor recruitment levels and initiate staff training as required, keeping up-to-date records in line with company policies.
• Actively manage a team of First Line Managers and Warehouse Operatives.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous practical experience as a shift manager within a logistics environment.
• Experience working within a 3PL is advantageous.
• Computer literacy with practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
• Experience working in a multi-temp warehouse is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage, organise, and train direct reports.
