Role Overview

As a Warehouse Section Leader, you'll play a key role at the centre of our operation, where every action you take contributes to our customers enjoying their favourite M&S food.

Our operation in Barnsley is looking for candidates who can commit to a Wednesday to Saturday shift pattern, working 20:00 - 06:00 am.

Responsibilities and Requirements

In your role, you will:

1. Provide clear communication and ongoing feedback to colleagues with specific examples and expected outcomes.
2. Understand and deliver against the operational plan for the day, taking accountability for a specific operational area.
3. Support immediate resolution of safety concerns and escalate incidents, hazards, or near misses.
4. Be responsible for delivery of operational service KPIs and coach colleagues to improve performance.
5. Support induction of new starters and ongoing legal and operational training.
6. Undertake colleague Return to Work interviews and put in place initial supportive measures.
7. Prioritize issues and rectify through to conclusion, ensuring a safe and legal environment.
8. Create an environment where colleagues can make suggestions and be heard, acting on feedback and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Ideally, you will have:

• A good understanding of warehouse management systems.
• The ability to identify risks and develop solutions.
• An innovative approach to leadership, being creative and implementing performance improvements.
