Your Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse & Packing Operative (Night Shift) based in Corby, Northamptonshire. This role is multi-skilled, shared between the Warehouse and Packing operations at Corby Mill. The main focus will be to operate the bagged packing line, involving safe operation of packing and conveyor line equipment and palletisers. The role also includes warehousing tasks such as operating forklift trucks, order picking, loading/unloading vehicles, and general housekeeping. Hours are Monday – Friday, 22:00 - 06:00.

Your Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company health & safety guidelines and legislation.
  • Ensure efficient operation of all areas.
  • Strive to meet and exceed targets and pursue continuous improvement.
  • Operate carousel/packing machines safely.
  • Operate onsite MHE in compliance with legislation.
  • Maintain food safety standards.
  • Keep accurate documentation and records.
  • Undertake necessary training to fulfill job requirements.
  • Manage product safety through careful process and handling.
  • Maintain cleanliness with a 'clean as you go' policy.
  • Display flexibility in work approach; supervisory tasks may be required.

Your Profile

  • Experience in the food industry and/or warehousing.
  • Valid Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck License.
  • Experience operating a Counterbalance FLT.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to lift 16-25kg bags regularly.
  • Ability to stand for up to 4 hours.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Motivated to learn and succeed.
  • Experience with high-speed food packaging lines and shunter driving is advantageous.
