Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is seeking a reliable Warehouse Stores Assistant to help ensure efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. You will contribute to a safe, organised and accurate warehouse environment in Whitstable.

Key duties include receiving deliveries, picking and packing orders, stock organisation, counts, and safe operation of warehouse equipment. Training is provided for equipment use, with emphasis on teamwork and meeting daily targets.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or stores experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills are an advantage.
• Forklift licence is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and unload deliveries.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer and internal orders.
• Organise and maintain stock within the warehouse.
• Carry out stock counts and assist with inventory control.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (training provided where required).
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles.
• Report damaged or missing stock to supervisors.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily operational targets.
