Raw Material Warehouse Operative

Location: Market Drayton

Salary: £31,079 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off shifts: 7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am

We are recruiting for a Raw Material Warehouse Operator at our Market Drayton site to support just-in-time supply to our operations. The role involves receipt, booking-in, and storage of materials from suppliers, ensuring all materials received are fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and calculate just-in-time production requirements and picks; process miscellaneous stock requests.
• Organize rotation and supply of raw ingredients and materials.
• Receipt, sort, and store scheduled deliveries and returned goods, ensuring accurate quantities and quality status on management systems.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
• Adhere to health & safety practices and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure consignments are accurate, in good condition, and accompanied by correct paperwork.
• Accurately label and store goods received from external and internal sources.
• Conduct daily checks of forklifts and ensure safe operation.
• Perform planned stock takes and visual racking inspections.
• Use the Warehouse Management System to pick products based on best before date.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Warehouse experience is essential.
• Counterbalance FLT license (desirable).
• VNA license (desirable).
• Reach FLT license (desirable).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and a team player.
• Ability to operate mechanical handling equipment.
• Experience with computerized stock control systems (training provided).
• Strong planning skills for just-in-time production.
• Good warehouse management and housekeeping skills.
