Job description

Pertemps Manchester is currently recruiting for an FLT/Warehouse operative for our Trafford Park based client. This is a temp-to-perm position with a full-time contract available for the right candidate. You will be expected to perform basic warehouse and FLT duties, with a primary focus on warehouse responsibilities. Our client is an electrical supplier, so experience in a similar role would be beneficial.

Shift pattern:

• Monday - Friday
• 08:00 - 17:00

Pay rate:

• £13 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to safely move materials and products within the warehouse.
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving processes.
• Maintain inventory accuracy using warehouse management systems.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in warehouse operations and materials handling.
• Certified forklift operator with a strong understanding of safety protocols.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control.
• Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform heavy lifting.
• Experience in shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading shipments.
• Background in construction is a plus.
