Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition is seeking a Skilled Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver for its Crick site. This permanent day-shift role operates a 4-on/4-off 12‑hour pattern, averaging 42 hours per week. Hourly rate is £16.09, including a £1.30 shift allowance.

The role involves supporting production, moving goods, and maintaining health and safety standards while mentoring new teammates.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar warehouse or manufacturing role.
• Valid FLT licence with counterbalance or reach truck experience (certification required).
• A good standard of education, with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to understand, communicate, and report clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Supply production departments with raw and packaging materials to maintain a continuous production programme.
• Transport finished goods from production areas to the warehouse for storage until despatch.
• Unload incoming vehicles as required and store materials following acceptance and GRN generation.
• Pick and assemble loads for despatch and load outgoing vehicles in line with despatch paperwork.
• Work safely at all times, following health and safety policies and procedures and raising any concerns through appropriate channels.
• Ensure the FLT fleet is fit for purpose by completing pre-use documentation and reporting any vehicle or plant damage according to procedure.
• Participate in training and support the development of colleagues when required, including acting as a mentor for new team members.

Role Details4 on / 4 off shift pattern (12-hour shifts) This shift pattern offers predictability, extended rest periods, and the ability to plan time outside of work. Average of 42 hours per week Days: 06:00 - 18:00 Nights Hourly rate: £16.09 (£14.79 plus a shift allowance of £1.30 per hour)

Key Responsibilities

• Supply production departments with raw and packaging materials to maintain a continuous production programme
