Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Operations Team Member for our central logistics hub in Erdington, Birmingham. This full-time role involves receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching healthcare and pharmaceutical goods with a largely automated warehouse environment.

Shifts rotate Sunday-Thursday and Monday-Friday, starting at 06:00, delivering essential medicines to customers nationwide. You will work in a state-of-the-art centre, supporting accuracy, safety and continuous

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, pack and dispatch customer orders using warehouse management systems and automated technology.
  • Load and unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment.
  • Receive, store and move stock within the warehouse while maintaining product quality and compliance standards.
  • Conduct inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Use handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to process stock movements.
  • Ensure stock rotation procedures are followed.
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment where trained and authorised.
  • Support warehouse productivity targets and KPIs.
  • Identify and report operational issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and regulatory requirements.Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Job description

As a Warehouse Operator in Erdington, you will join a central logistics hub handling vital healthcare and pharmaceutical goods. This full-time role, paying £13.54 per hour, involves rotating shifts between Sunday-Thursday and Monday-Friday, starting at 06:00. Your duties span the entire process, from receiving and storing stock to accurate picking, packing, and dispatching. Working within a largely automated setting, your attention to detail ensures essential medicines reach customers nationwide. Reliability and a commitment to high standards are crucial for this multi-skilled position. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial, though a willingness to learn within a structured environment is equally valued. You will contribute directly to a critical supply chain, ensuring accuracy throughout every stage of operations.

  • FLT, Reach Truck, Counterbalance or PPT licences, preferably.
  • Understanding of inventory control and stock management processes.
