Job summary

rhe is seeking Warehouse Operatives and Reach/VNA Drivers for a fixed-term contract from 19 October 2026 to 7 January 2027. Shifts include 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00 Monday to Thursday, with Sunday 08:00–16:00 starting 1 November 2026.

You will unload/load containers, tip trailers, scan and label orders, pick, pack, store goods, and log activities. A valid MHE license and experience with VNA/Reach are required; basic English and Maths are essential, GCSEs at B or above preferred; training

Qualifications

• Basic English and Maths skills required.
• GCSE English and Maths grade B or above or equivalent.
• Experience with warehouse systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manually lift heavy items and assist with loading.
• Unload and load containers with heavy furniture.
• Operate loading bay with handheld scanners and systems.
• Pack, label and stage orders for dispatch.
• Store goods in allocated locations; keep workspace tidy.
• Follow health and safety standards and KPI targets.
• Log activities and update time sheets during shifts.
• Assist with other duties as directed by Line Manager.

What You Can Expect :

This contract is from 19th October 2026 to 7th January 2027

Shift Patterns:

• Sunday 08:00 - 16:00, Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 14:00


• Sunday 08:00 - 16:00, Monday to Thursday 14:00 - 22:00

(Sunday shift does not go live until 1st November 2026)

We require Warehouse Operatives and Reach/VNA Drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be able to manually handle heavy items/lifting.


• Unloading and loading containers with heavy furniture - this will involve two-person liftting.


• Ensure all health and safety standards are followed and adhered to


• Ensure that you are working to the customer requirements, relevant SOPS and achieving the business KPI's.


• Tipping of trailers that will contain cartons of products ordered by our customers. This will require some form of lifting and building of pallets.


• Booking deliveries in once received using handheld scanners. This work is usually completed on a loading bay dock.


• Putting away the products that have entered the warehouse into allocated locations. This will require some form of lifting and walking around the warehouse (training will be provided if required to operate machineries).


• Carrying out picking tasks according to customer requirements. This will require some form of lifting and walking around the warehouse and will need to be completed within agreed timescales.


• Scanning, packing and labelling of orders that need to be dispatched to customers. This will usually take place at a packing station which will require standing.


• Completing rework requirements that are stipulated by the customer. This will usually take place at a workstation which will require standing.


• Ensure tasks are completed to a high standard completed in timely manner to able next stage to be carried out.


• Ensure all consumables and equipment are treated with care and returned to the correct place after use.


• Undertake other responsible tasks that may be required from time to time as directed by the needs of the business and/or your Line Manager


• Ensure that each activity is logged accurately.


• Ensure that time sheets or equivalent system are updated throughout the shift.

What You Bring:

• Basic level of English and Maths required for the role, both written and spoken with good communication skills.


• Preferably experience and understanding of a warehouse management system will be of an advantage


• GSCE Maths & English grade B or above or equivalent


• You will be required to have a valid MHE license and experience driving VNA or Reach.
