Job description

Working within the Distribution Centre reporting to the Shift Manager and Health & Safety Advisor.

The Warehouse Trainer is responsible for delivering professional training and development while supporting Managers and Colleagues in their daily duties. This includes ensuring all training, such as working processes, manual handling, and MHE training, is delivered to the required standard, with training records maintained for all colleagues.

During peak times, you may be required to work within the warehouse and support business needs by carrying out other tasks. The role may involve occasional travel to deliver training to other areas of the business and for personal development, including training and meetings.

Responsibility payment is in addition to the hourly wage (terms apply).

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the implementation of all relevant Health and Safety policies and updates.
2. Regularly monitor and assess warehouse colleagues.
3. Deliver training and support managers and colleagues on warehouse tasks and processes to the required standard.
4. Update training files.
5. Support Safety Week initiatives.
6. Assist with weekly audits.
7. Support hazard and near miss reporting, accident investigations.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• MHE Training Qualification or working towards one (ITSSAR or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office.
• Professional presentation skills for groups and individuals.
• Working knowledge of MHE and relevant legislation.
• Understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
• Technical understanding of MHE/Warehouse SOPs, including counterbalance reach truck, LLOP, PPT, Pump Truck, and battery changing processes.
• Warehouse operational knowledge, especially during busy periods.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• IOSH certification is desirable.
