Food Service Logistics is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative (Reach Truck) to join our busy, modern warehouse. You will operate a Reach Truck and support broader warehouse activities, providing a mix of stock replenishment, picking and dispatch tasks in ambient, chilled and frozen zones.

The role requires a valid RTITB or ITSAR Reach Truck licence, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Formación

• Valid RTITB or ITSAR Reach Truck licence with an operating height of over 8 metres.
• Experience operating a Reach Truck in a warehouse environment.
• Strong awareness of warehouse Health & Safety practices.

Responsabilidades

• Operate Reach Truck equipment safely and efficiently in line with procedures and safety standards.
• Replenish palletised stock into racking locations.
• Put away and allocate stock using warehouse management systems.
• Support ambient, chilled and frozen warehouse operations.
• Assist with picking, loading and other warehouse duties as required.
• Carry out daily equipment checks and report defects.
• Maintain high housekeeping and stock accuracy.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet productivity and service targets.

£14.56 per hour + £40 weekly Reach Truck Skills Payment

(Equivalent to £15.56 per hour across your contracted 40-hour week)

Plus £3.00 per hour for weekend and bank holiday shifts

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Shift Pattern: Any 5 days from 7

Hours: 09:00 - 17:30

Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week

The Reach Truck Skills Payment is a fixed £40 weekly payment and does not increase based on overtime or additional hours worked.

About the Role

Food Service Logistics is looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Operative (Reach Truck) to join our busy and modern warehouse operation.

This is a varied, hands-on role where operating a Reach Truck will form a significant part of your working day. You will also support wider warehouse activities, giving you variety in your role and the opportunity to develop additional skills across the operation.

Working within a fast-paced food distribution environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring products are stored, replenished and dispatched safely and efficiently across our ambient, chilled and frozen warehouse areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Reach Truck equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and Health & Safety standards
• Replenish palletised stock into racking locations
• Put away and allocate stock accurately using warehouse management systems
• Support warehouse operations across ambient, chilled and frozen environments
• Assist with picking, loading and other warehouse duties as required
• Carry out daily equipment checks and report any defects promptly
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and stock accuracy
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational productivity and service targets

What We're Looking For

• Valid RTITB or ITSAR Reach Truck licence with an operating height of over 8 metres
• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck within a warehouse environment
• Strong awareness of warehouse Health & Safety practices
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced operation
• Flexible and team-oriented approach to work
• Experience operating Reach Truck equipment at heights of up to 10.2 metres
• Experience within food distribution, logistics or FMCG environments
• Experience working in chilled or frozen warehouse environments
• Familiarity with high-bay racking systems

Please note: Applicants must hold a valid RTITB or ITSAR Reach Truck licence with an operating height of over 8 metres. Applications without a suitable current Reach Truck licence will not be considered.

Frozen PPE will be provided where required, and time spent working within freezer environments will be limited.
