Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd is hiring Warehouse Operatives for the Bedford Depot on the PM shift (2pm - 10pm). Work includes assembling orders, loading goods, and stock rotation in a temperature-controlled environment, with weekend rotas. Premiums apply for freezer work and FLT licences, and wages depend on performance tier.

Qualifications

Warehouse Operative (PM) - Bedford Depot

PM Shift- 2pm - 10pm
40 hours per week on a 5 out of 7 day rota (including weekends)

Temperature-controlled (4°C) environment

90% performance £13.14 per hour

100% performance £14.60 per hour

110% performance £16.06 per hour

120% performance £17.52 per hour

We are currently seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Warehouse Operatives at our Bedford Depot. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the accurate and efficient assembly of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately assemble customer orders
• Pick and load goods onto cages safely
• Input weighted items correctly
• Follow stock rotation procedures
• Perform various warehouse duties with precision and efficiency
• Properly mark and store assembled orders for dispatch

Some Key Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required

• Numerate and literate
• Warehousing and distribution experience
• Ability to work efficiently in a cold environment
• Ability to work in a freezer environment, earning an extra £1.18ph premium.
• FLT (Reach/VNA) licence, earning an extra £0.60ph premium.
