Job summary
A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd in Bedford is seeking a Warehouse Operative (Night) to join the Bedford Depot team. You will be responsible for accurately assembling customer orders and loading goods, working in a temperature-controlled environment.
This night position offers a 40-hour week on a 5-out-of-7 rota, with the potential to earn premium rates for performance levels and additional shift allowances. Training and career development are provided within a family-owned, long-established
Qualifications
- Numerate and literate.
- Warehousing and distribution experience.
- Ability to work efficiently in a cold environment.
- Ability to work in a freezer environment, earning an extra £1.18ph premium.
- FLT (Reach/VNA) licence, earning an extra £0.60ph premium.

We are currently seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Warehouse Operatives at our Bedford Depot. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the accurate and efficient assembly of customer orders.
- Accurately assemble customer orders
- Pick and load goods onto cages safely
- Input weighted items correctly
- Follow stock rotation procedures
- Perform various warehouse duties with precision and efficiency
- Properly mark and store assembled orders for dispatch
