Job summary

Kingdom Services Group is seeking a Warehouse Operative PM to support afternoon and evening shifts at our North West England site. You will receive, check, pick, pack and dispatch goods, operate pallet trucks and forklifts where qualified, and maintain accurate stock records in line with procedures.

• Basic literacy and numeracy to read delivery notes, complete records and count stock accurately.
• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is desirable.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and check incoming stock against delivery documentation.
• Accurately pick and pack orders according to specified instructions and standards.
• Operate warehouse machinery such as pallet trucks and forklifts safely and efficiently, where qualified.
• Load and unload vehicles ensuring correct handling and storage of goods.
• Ensure all stock is stored correctly and maintain clear and organised storage areas.
• Carry out stock counts and assist with inventory management to maintain accurate records.
• Report any discrepancies, damages or shortages promptly to the relevant supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hazard-free working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
• Follow company procedures for documentation, including electronic record keeping where required.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet operational targets and deadlines.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency.

Job Description

This role involves supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse during afternoon and evening shifts. The post holder undertakes a range of duties to ensure goods are received, stored, prepared, and dispatched accurately and safely within agreed timescales. The role requires adherence to health and safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards at all times.

Required Qualifications

Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift truck certification (e.g. counterbalance or reach truck licence).
• Health and safety training such as manual handling or first aid.

Working Conditions

• The role requires standing, walking, bending and lifting throughout the shift.
• Work takes place in a warehouse environment which may be subject to varying temperatures.
• Shift pattern typically includes afternoon and evening hours.
• Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory as per site requirements.
