The Best Connection is recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative for a site near YO26. The role involves receiving deliveries, picking and packing orders, forklift movement, stock checks and accurate admin.

It offers a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with a permanent contract direct with the company. You'll be part of a busy warehouse team, required to follow safety procedures, maintain inventory accuracy and support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to support the wider warehouse operation.
• Valid FLT licence - beneficial not essential

Responsabilités

• Receiving deliveries and checking goods for damage or missing items.
• Safely storing stock within the warehouse.
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
• Operating a Forklift Truck to move stock throughout the warehouse.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Completing stock counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Updating stock information using computerised systems.
• Assisting with deliveries, stock transfers and product refurbishment.
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
• Following Health & Safety, manual handling and environmental procedures at all times.
• Supporting the warehouse team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.

The Best Connection are seeking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operative to work with our client based in YO26.

The site is conveniently located and offers excellent access from York, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Boroughbridge, Wetherby and the surrounding areas. Our client is a successful and growing logistics service provider operating across Healthcare, E-commerce, Marketing & Events. The Role of a Warehouse Operative:

Pay Rate for Warehouse Operative:

• £12.86 per hour

This will be working for the company direct not via an agency - opportunity for a full time contract immediately.
