Job summary

Meridian Business Support are recruiting for a Warehouse operative / Parcel sorter in the Warrington area. You will handle incoming parcels, scan barcodes and sort by destination, preparing loads for transport.

Role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 25kg, and working with a team across different shifts. Onsite parking and weekly pay are provided by Meridian.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unloading parcels from vehicles and belts
• Scan barcodes and ensure correct labelling

• Load sorted parcels onto trucks/containers
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist with other tasks

Meridian business support is recruiting for a Warehouse operative / Parcel sorter for a Company based in Woolston, Warrington area.

Warehouse operative / Parcel sorter Duties include:

• Removing parcels from incoming vehicles or conveyor belts.
• Using handheld scanners to read barcodes and ensuring each parcel has the correct label
• Separating parcels based on destination, postcode, or delivery route
• Placing sorted parcels into the correct cages, pallets, or loading bags
• Loading the sorted parcels onto trucks or containers for transport.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and obstruction-free work area (internal and external) and assisting with other general warehouse tasks as directed by the management.

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

• Crucial for accuracy in sorting mail by destination
• Ability to manage tasks and maintain a system
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items (up to 25kg or more, depending on the role), and push trolleys
• Ability to work well with other sorters and staff
• Willingness to adjust to changing mail volumes and methods

Hours & Shifts:

Monday - Friday or Sunday - Thursday

• 10AM - 7PM - Morning shift
• 2PM - 11PM - Afternoon shift
• 11PM - 8AM - Night shift

Pay Rate:

£13.33 per hourAfter 12 weeks £13.66 per hour
