Job summary

Micheldever Tyre Services (MTS) is seeking a Warehouse Operative - Nights in Winnall, Winchester. You will pick orders, load/unload vehicles, and put away stock, with occasional forklift duties. The role operates Sundays to Thursdays, 8pm–4:30am, with a salary of £30,866 plus staff benefits.

Strong safety awareness and reliability are essential. The company supports development through training, forklift licences, and progression into driving or supervisory roles while offering a range of staff

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
• Understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices.
• Experience with stock control, loading/unloading and order picking is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure goods received and dispatched are checked for faults and reported.
• Maintain high stock count accuracy at audits and report discrepancies.
• Move goods efficiently within the warehouse following instructions and procedures.
• Load outbound vehicles safely and in accordance with company policy and current legislation.
• Put-away stock in designated locations and process items for dispatch according to customer orders.

Micheldever Tyres is looking for an enthusiasticWarehouse Operative - Nights- to be responsible for picking orders, loading and unloading vehicles and putting stock away. The role involves manual handling, heavy lifting duties and occasional Van or Forklift Truck driving duties.

Location: Winnall, Winchester

Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday8pm-4:30am

About the role:

• Ensure all goods received and sent out are checked for faults and reported as required
• Ensure high levels of count accuracy at Stock Audits, effectively communicating stock discrepancies, shortages or problem areas
• Ensure any movement of goods within the Warehouse environment is efficient and accurate according to instruction
• Ensure out-bound vehicles are loaded in a proper, safe manner, according to instruction, Company Practice and current legislation
• Ensure all received stock is ‘put-away’ in the correct locations within the Warehouse and all goods due for dispatch are processed, picked and loaded correct to customer order and DC requirements.

About you:

• We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic and good team work skills.
• You will have an understanding of workplace Health & Safety and work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a similar fast-paced, physically demanding environment, Fork lift licence, Counterbalance or Reach Truck, ideal but not essential
• Full UK Driving Licence
