Job summary

Fowler Welch is seeking a Warehouse Loader to operate in a chilled environment, handling inbound and outbound loads and ensuring accurate picking and documentation. The role follows a night shift pattern with a Fri–Tues schedule and requires strict adherence to company policies and safety standards.

You will report faults promptly, secure loads, and work towards productivity targets while maintaining HACCP and SSOW compliance in a fast-paced, UK-wide logistics context.

Qualifications

• Ability to work within a chilled/cold environment.
• Experience in roles where meeting deadlines and quality are critical.
• Understanding of verbal and numerical reasoning.
• Conscientious and reliable nature.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload product in line with company policies and procedures.
• Complete inbound and dispatch documentation for loads.
• Report trailer or MHE faults and place VOR vehicles as required.
• Keep goods picked and assembled accurately per instructions.
• Ensure dispatched loads are secured prior to leaving the loading bay.
• Strive to meet productivity targets and standards.
• Follow Health & Safety, SSOWs and HACCP regulations.

Job Description

• To ensure you load/unload product strictly in line with the Company's policies and procedures.
• To ensure the correct documentation is completed for all inbound and dispatch loads.
• Reporting any trailer or MHE faults in line with Company procedures and ensuring VOR vehicles are placed in the designated areas.
• To remain vigilant in ensuring goods are picked and assembled accurately as per instructions.
• To ensure dispatched loads are properly secured prior to leaving the loading bay.
• To reach and maintain the standards required to meet the Company's productivity targets.
• Ensure all practices and procedures are safely carried out in line with the Company’s Health & Safety policy, SSOWs and HACCP regulations, where appropriate, and to challenge colleagues who fail to adhere to any such rules or regulations.
• Ensure customer returns are received, recorded and notified to the appropriate Stock Controller
