Job summary

DPD Group UK is seeking a Warehouse Operative for night shifts in Swindon. You will be loading, unloading, sorting parcels, and using scanners to ensure accurate routing. The role requires physical stamina and a proactive approach to safety and housekeeping.

You will work as part of a close-knit team to meet daily targets, with full training provided from day one and uniform and PPE supplied. Attendance and reliability are essential for success in this fast-paced operation.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, scan, and sort parcels with accuracy.
• Handle items up to 25kg and stay on your feet during the shift.
• Use warehouse tech to route parcels correctly and update systems.
• Operate scanners, conveyors and handling equipment safely.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
• Conduct quality checks and report discrepancies or damage promptly.
• Work with the team to meet daily targets and shift objectives.

Job Description

• Days of Work: Sunday - Thursday


• Hours of Work: 02: 00 - 08:30

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy


• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)


• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time


• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently


• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment


• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly


• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives


• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
