Job summary

Fowler Welch in Spalding is seeking a reliable warehouse operative to load and unload products in a chilled environment, ensuring accurate documentation and compliant loading practices. You will report faults, secure loads, and maintain productivity targets while upholding health and safety, HACCP, and SSOWs.

Returns handling and quality checks are part of the role. Ideal candidates are reliable, able to meet deadlines, with good verbal and numerical reasoning and a positive can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment or similar role.
• Ability to follow Company policies and procedures precisely.
• Good reading, writing and numeric verification skills.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload product strictly in line with policies.
• Complete correct inbound and dispatch documentation.
• Report trailer or MHE faults per procedures; place VOR vehicles accordingly.
• Ensure goods are picked/assembled accurately per instructions.
• Secure dispatched loads before leaving loading bay.
• Meet productivity targets with safety in mind.
• Follow Health & Safety, SSOWs and HACCP; challenge non-compliance.
• Receive/record customer returns and notify Stock Controller.

Job description

• To ensure you load/unload product strictly in line with the Company's policies and procedures.
• To ensure the correct documentation is completed for all inbound and dispatch loads.
• Reporting any trailer or MHE faults in line with Company procedures and ensuring VOR vehicles are placed in the designated areas.
• To remain vigilant in ensuring goods are picked and assembled accurately as per instructions.
• To ensure dispatched loads are properly secured prior to leaving the loading bay.
• To reach and maintain the standards required to meet the Company's productivity targets.
• Ensure all practices and procedures are safely carried out in line with the Company's Health & Safety policy, SSOWs and HACCP regulations, where appropriate, and to challenge colleagues who fail to adhere to any such rules or regulations.
• Ensure customer returns are received, recorded and notified to the appropriate Stock Controller

• Ability to work within a chilled/cold environment
• Experience of working within an environment where achieving deadlines and quality of work are critical
• Understanding of verbal and numerical reasoning
• Conscientious and reliable nature
• Positivate 'can do' attitude
