Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operative for the night shift at our Runcorn site. You will handle a variety of warehouse tasks, including picking, loading, and operating FLT and pallet trucks with RF systems, while ensuring accuracy and safety across the operation.

The role is full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday, 20:00–06:00, with a 48-hour week. Full training provided, and a strong team environment supports your career development.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork are essential.
• Safety focus with flexibility to shift patterns is required.
• Experience operating MHE or holding a certificate is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of warehouse tasks including picking, loading/unloading vehicles, and operating FLT and pallet trucks using RF systems.
• Complete documentation such as returns manifests and daily driver records.
• Ensure KPI targets and high-quality performance across activities.
• Carry out housekeeping and follow Health & Safety guidelines.

Here at GXO Runcorn, Preston Brook we are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our night shift team, supporting our customer, B&Q. From receiving and storing products to picking, packing, and dispatching orders you will be involved in all aspects of our warehouse operations.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on a Monday to Friday pattern, covering the hours of 20:00 to 06:00, contracted to 48 hours per week.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Perform a range of warehouse tasks including picking, loading/unloading vehicles, and operating FLT and pallet trucks using RF systems, while adhering to safe manual handling practices
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, such as returns manifests and daily driver records
• Ensure operational standards and customer service requirements are met by achieving site KPIs and maintaining high quality performance in all activities
• Carry out housekeeping where required upholding site standards while following Health & Safety guidelines

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
• Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new skills while working as part of a team
• A strong focus on safety and reliability, with flexibility to adapt to changing demands and shift patterns
• Experience operating MHE or holding valid certificate of competence would be an advantage, but not essential
