Job summary

DPD UK is seeking energetic Warehouse Operatives for its London Docklands site. You will load, unload, scan and sort parcels, handle items up to 25kg, and use warehouse tech to ensure right delivery timing.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, with full training provided from day one and uniform/PPE supplied. Role involves permanent, 40-hour weeks with Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday shifts starting at 08:00.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy.
• Handling items up to 25kg and staying active throughout the shift.
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel goes to the right place on time.
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyors and handling gear safely.
• Maintaining high health, safety and housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
• Quality control checks to verify parcel condition and labelling; report issues promptly.
• Work with the team to meet daily targets and shift objectives.

Job Description

• Contract Type: Permanent – 40 Hours Per Week
• Days of Work: Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday. 08:00 start

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift

You’ll Receive: Full training from Day 1 and all required uniform and PPE
