Job summary

DPD UK is seeking energetic Warehouse Operatives for Carlisle to join a fast-paced, physically demanding team. You will start with full training and receive uniform and PPE. Expect 24/30 hours weekly, with shifts Sunday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Saturday, 03:30-09:30.

You'll handle parcels up to 25 kg, scan and sort efficiently, and operate warehouse systems and equipment, all while upholding safety standards and reliable attendance.

Job Description

• Contract Type: Permanent – 24 / 30 Hours Per Week
• Days of Work: Sunday to Wednesday / Tuesday to Saturday
• Hours of Work: 03:30 - 09:30

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
