Job summary

Warehouse Operative – Night Shift at Morson Group in Motherwell is a hands-on role within a busy distribution centre. You will perform voice picking and LLOP picking, pack products to high quality standards, and primarily work in ambient conditions with occasional chilled environments.

This physically active role requires attention to detail and teamwork to hit daily targets. Induction covers safety, manual handling, and LLOP training; PPE includes safety footwear and hi-vis clothing.

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE – NIGHT SHIFT

Location: Motherwell, ML1 4YF
Start Date: 8th October 2026
Contract: Ongoing
Pay Rate: £13.80 – £17.30 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking reliable Warehouse Operatives to join a busy distribution centre for our client, located in Motherwell. This role involves voice picking, LLOP picking, and packing within an ambient warehouse environment. Operatives may also be required to work in a chilled environment as necessary.

This is a physically active, fast-paced position that demands excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform voice picking and LLOP picking accurately and efficiently
• Pick and pack products to meet quality standards
• Operate primarily within an ambient warehouse environment
• Assist with operations in chilled environments when required
• Use LLOP equipment safely following training
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, Manual Handling, and site procedures
• Achieve productivity and accuracy targets
• Maintain a clean and safe working area
• Contribute positively to team efforts

Working Hours

21:00 – 05:30

• 40 hours paid per week
• Breaks are unpaid
• Five days out of seven on a rota (rota details provided)

Pay Rates

• Basic pay: £13.80 per hour
• Night shift allowance: Additional £3.50 per hour for hours worked between 23:00 and 05:00

Induction & Training

Successful candidates will complete a one-day induction during the day shift prior to commencing night shifts. The induction covers:

• Health & Safety training
• Manual Handling training
• LLOP equipment training

PPE Requirements

• Safety footwear – candidates may use their own; alternatively, safety shoes will be provided
• Hi-Vis clothing is mandatory

Previous warehouse experience is advantageous. Experience with LLOP equipment is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided during induction.
