Job summary

Saica Group is seeking a Warehouse Operative to handle loading/unloading, stock checks, and admin tasks in a busy FMCG warehouse. You will work with WMS, perform cycle counts, and liaise with 3PL partners to ensure accurate stock records and efficient dispatch processes.

The role requires a valid forklift certificate, prior warehouse experience, and proficiency in Excel/Outlook. A maths NVQ and familiarity with MHE are advantageous, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certificate.
• Previous warehouse experience is essential.
• Valid MHE certification desirable.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or stock control systems.
• Experience working with 3PL providers.
• Experience completing transport, dispatch, stock, or inventory administration.
• Good numeracy and literacy.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Experience in FMCG, logistics, warehousing, or distribution environments.
• Education: NVQ Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trailers safely and efficiently.
• Receiving, checking, and booking stock into warehouse systems.
• Completing stock movements and inventory transactions in WMS.
• Supporting stock control activities including cycle counts and investigations.
• Maintaining accurate warehouse records and documentation.
• Processing delivery paperwork, goods receipts, dispatch documentation, and customer paperwork.
• Liaising with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and 3PL providers.
• Ordering consumables such as pallets, wrap, labels, and other supplies.
• Assisting with pallet accounts and pallet control processes.
• Monitoring stock discrepancies, damages, shortages, and operational issues.
