Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting a Warehouse Operative (Goods In) for a global soft drinks manufacturer based in Bridgwater. You will receive, check and put away inbound deliveries, ensuring accurate quantities, batch numbers and best-before dates, with SAP and EWM used to record receipts.

You will manage your own area of the goods‑in process, maintain FIFO/FEFO stock rotation, and work with colleagues to keep deliveries flowing smoothly. Training on our systems will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and inbound goods handling.
• Ability to verify quantities, batch/lot numbers and best-before dates.
• Proficiency with SAP/EWM for goods receipts and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and process inbound deliveries against purchase orders.
• Verify quantities, batch numbers, best-before dates and product condition.
• Process goods receipts in real time on SAP and EWM.
• Generate and apply compliant labels (batch, allergen, best-before).
• Use RF scanning to complete putaway and maintain FIFO/FEFO rotation.
• Operate MHE (forklift/pump truck/reach truck) where licensed.
• Keep the goods-in area clean, safe and organized.

Job description

We are looking for a driven Warehouse Operative (Goods In) to join a global independent soft drinks manufacturer with 78 manufacturing sites worldwide including 6 sites in the UK based in Bridgwater (TA6).

Salary £35,715.95 pa (Basic £32,469.45 with a shift allowance of £3,246.95)

4 on 4 off Shift pattern - 2 Days, 2 Nights 4 days off

12 Hour shifts - Day: 07:00 to 19:00 & Night: 19:00 to 07:00

As a Warehouse Operative (Goods In), you'll be at the front line of the site's warehouse and logistics operation, making sure every delivery of raw materials, packaging and ingredients is received, checked and put away accurately and safely.

No two shifts are the same - you'll be receiving and checking inbound deliveries, verifying quantities and batch/best-before dates, processing goods receipts on SAP and EWM, generating and applying compliant labels, and using RF scanning to put stock away in the right place, in the right order. Full training on our systems will be provided.

Ideally, you will be someone who enjoys taking ownership and keeping things accurate and organised. You'll manage your own area of the goods-in process, keep on top of stock rotation and housekeeping, and work closely with colleagues across the warehouse to keep deliveries flowing smoothly.
