Job summary

Morson Group is recruiting for Warehouse Operators / FLT Drivers in Kettering. The role involves picking, packing, storage, kitting and distribution to ensure materials availability and high service levels.

Join a railway infrastructure client delivering excellence in the rail industry. On-site shifts are 08:00-16:00, Mon-Fri with on-call weekend/bank holiday rota. Contract role via agency with pay £14.40/hour (£30k/year equivalent).

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is essential.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate stock management.
• Good hand-eye and foot coordination for safe operation of mechanical handling equipment.
• Reliable, self-motivated, adaptable, and a collaborative team player.
• Effective communication skills to facilitate smooth warehouse operations.
• FLT licence for Counterbalance, VNA, Flexi Bendi or Reach truck.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently pick stock using handheld or mobile devices, ensuring data integrity within the warehouse management system.
• Perform picking, packing, shipping, receiving, put-away, and kitting of components in accordance with established warehouse procedures.
• Verify all picked stock and assembled loads prior to despatch using designated systems.
• Maintain the highest quality standards by handling all stock carefully to ensure it reaches customers and suppliers in pristine condition.
• Support inventory management by maintaining accurate records of packed items to help sustain precise stock levels.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and consistently maintained to high standards.
• Operate safely within a team environment, fully complying with site health and safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work.
• Contribute to operational efficiency by supporting warehouse and site hygiene standards.
