Job summary

The Compleat Food Group in Bristol is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to join our busy team. You will work across ambient and temperature-controlled environments, receiving deliveries, picking orders and preparing vehicles for dispatch using FLT trucks.

This role operates on a 06:00-18:00 shift, 4 on 4 off, at Unit 4, Bristol Distribution Park. We value accuracy, safety and teamwork and provide training to help you grow within our fast-paced FMCG warehouse.

Qualifications

• FLT (Forklift Truck) licence required.
• Good level of English, literacy and numeracy.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in FMCG or food warehouse is desirable.
• Food Safety Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2 recommended.
• Basic IT or warehouse system experience.
• Training and development can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and store deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Pick, pack, wrap and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Load vehicles using forklift trucks and lifting equipment.
• Ensure stock accuracy and FIFO rotation.

Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse team in Bristol. This role involves working across both ambient and temperature-controlled environments within a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Receiving deliveries, storing materials, picking customer orders, and preparing vehicles for dispatch using warehouse equipment such as FLT trucks.

Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Shift Pattern: 06:00 - 18:00 4on 4off

Location: Unit 4, Bristol Distribution Park, Hawkley Drive, Woodlands Road, Bradley Stoke, Bristol BS32 0BF

Salary: £13.90 per hour (plus overtime outside of normal shift)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Receive, unload and store incoming deliveries safely and efficiently
• Pick, pack, wrap and prepare customer orders for dispatch
• Load vehicles using forklift trucks and warehouse lifting equipment
• Ensure stock accuracy and correct rotation (FIFO)
• Use warehouse systems and scanning equipment (RDT) to manage stock
• Carry out quality and expiry checks on materials
• Ensure allergen materials are stored safely and separately
• Maintain accurate documentation and product traceability
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
• Keep work areas clean and organised using Clean As You Go (CAYGO) practices
• Support new team members and contribute to continuous improvement

What we’re looking for

• FLT (Forklift Truck) Licence
• Good level of English, literacy and numeracy
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in an FMCG or food warehouse environment
• Food Safety Level 2
• Health & Safety Level 2
• Basic IT or warehouse system experience
