Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Shift Pattern: 0830-1700 Monday-Friday

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling chemicals and operating counterbalance forklift trucks, and able to complete all physical requirements of the job. This role involves receiving, storing, and dispatching goods while ensuring all health and safety regulations are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely receive, store, and dispatch goods in line with company procedures.
• Handle chemicals in compliance with safety regulations and company guidelines.
• Operate counterbalance forklift trucks to move stock efficiently.
• Carry out stock checks and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and free from hazards.
• Follow all health & safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
• Assist with loading/unloading deliveries and manual handling tasks as required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet operational targets and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience, preferably in a chemical handling environment.
• Valid counterbalance forklift truck licence – essential.
• Understanding of COSHH regulations and safe handling of hazardous materials – desirable.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy items when required as part of the role.
• A full, clean UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
• 22 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays.
