Job summary

Aligra, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Andover to support warehouse operations. Responsibilities include picking, packing, goods in, unloading/loading, and labeling boxes while maintaining quality and accuracy. You will work on rotating shifts: 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00, plus other 8-hour rotations as needed.

The role emphasizes health and safety, cleanliness, and precise inventory handling to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Physical fitness is required to perform unloading/loading and lifting.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking, labeling, and goods in.

Responsibilities

• Picking: Accurately pick items from designated locations based on pick lists and ensure they are ready for packing.
• Packing: Safely and securely pack items into appropriate packaging materials, following specific guidelines to prevent damage during transit.
• Goods In: Receive incoming goods, check the quality and accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders, and report any discrepancies or damages.
• Unloading/Loading: Assist with the unloading and loading of delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care and stored properly.
• Labelling: Apply correct labels to packages, ensuring accurate and clear identification for efficient sorting and delivery.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and organized at all times.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including wearing protective equipment and reporting hazards.
